Дослідження у другому розділі словотворення в сучасній англійській мові дає
нам змогу зробити наступні висновки:
Лексична система англійської мови є гнучкою і спроможною до адаптації в умовах
постійного виникнення нових понять і необхідності їх лексичної фіксації
Існують різні способи словотворення.
Іншомовні запозичення є одним з важливіших видів збагачення словникового
складу мови.
Лексичні запозичення є одним із джерел утворення нових слів. Їх вивчення
дає можливість прослідити складність мовних процесів, переплетіння внутрішніх
та зовнішніх явищ в мові.
З точки зору словникового складу треба класифікувати англійську мову як мову
міжнародного походження, або як одну із романських.
Джерела неологізмів-запозичень є численними: французька мова, німецька мова,
китайська, японська, іспанська, італійська, російська та ін.
Результати даного дослідження здається мають широке практичне застосування.
Вони можуть застосовуватись:
1) на семінарах з лексикології,
2) на уроках англійської мови у вищих та середніх школах,
3) у написанні дипломних та курсових робіт.
Важливу роль у розвитку мов відіграє і їх взаємодія. Одним із перших це підкреслив
Г. Шухардт. Цей процес набуває особливого значення завдяки тому, що у ньому
активна роль відводиться народам - носіям мов.
Resume
In this course paper we deal with the most productive word – building suffixes
of English and Ukrainian languages.
The Actuality of an investigation determines the deficiency of studying the
processes of word – building, that development and the necessity of studying
the most productive suffixes in English and Ukrainian languages.
The Object of an investigation is a process which deals with the usage of
suffixes in different parts of speech.
The Subject of an investigation deals with the lexems in English and Ukrainian
languages of the past decades, and also the most productive suffixes of Latin
origin in English language.
The dim of the course paper deals with an investigation of the most productive
word – building suffixes of English and Ukrainian languages.
The dim includes the following tasks of our investigation:
to find out the main criteria of distinguishing suffixes in the words;
to determine the role and place of suffixes in English and Ukrainian languages;
to scrutinize the questions about productivity of suffixes in a modern English
language.
In our course paper we used the following methods of scientific investigation:
the method of word – building analysis,
the method of morphological analysis,
the method of empirical analysis,
the elements of the method of quantitative analysis,
the method of comparative analysis.
In the first chapter of our course paper we made an investigation of the
most productive word – building suffixes in the modern Ukrainian language. The
given investigation permit us to draw the conclusion that:
There are different ways of word – building in Ukrainian language.
The suffixal way of word – building is the most productive in Ukrainian language.
In lexemas reflects the attitude of speakers to the objects of real world.
The Vocabulary of Ukrainian language always enriches.
The investigation in the second chapter of word – building in the modern
English language gives us the possibility to make the following conclusions:
The lexical system of the English language is flexible and able to adaptation
in the conditions of regular coming of new notions and the necessity of their
lexical fixation.
There are different ways of word – building.
Belonging to another language borrowing is the most important way of enlarging
the English vocabulary.
Lexical borrowing is one of the sources of building new words. Their studying
gives us the possibility to retrace the complexity of speech process, interlacing
of inward and outward phenomend in a language.
From the point of view of vocabulary stock we have to classify English as
a language of international origin, or one of the Romance languages.
The sources of neologisms – borrowings are numerous: French, German, Chinese,
Japanese, Spanish, Italian and Russian languages.
This theme is very actual nowadays because Ukraine stands now at the threshold
of economical and political changes a good knowing of a foreign language and
mother tongue causes the delight to everybody. In a present stormy life without
knowing a foreign language and its word – building we will have the shut doors
in the international world. The future youth must be skilled and well – educated
for orientation in the international arena. The knowing of a foreign language
and its word – building are very important and actual.
